Gender & Women’s Studies

Designed by graduate certificate seeker Leslie Nichols, here’s our program’s logo (t-shirt design).

The Women’s Studies Program became official in 1990, with the approval of the undergraduate minor. In 2010-11 we celebrated our 20-year anniversary. We offer an undergraduate minor and a graduate certificate, offer a vigorous speakers/performers line-up, and have several outreach projects.

Our full-time faculty are Dr. Molly Kerby and Dr. Kristi Branham. I teach as well. For instance, this fall I’m scheduled to teach Black Feminisms & the Politics of Community, an elective in both the GWS graduate certificate and the SRSC master’s.
